this is a new interest of mine as I'm trying to save up cash for a down payment on a home. I have a good full time job but want to accelerate the process and cocktailing seems an obvious avenue here (you know besides other avenues for fast cash lol)

That said I'm not sure how easy it would really be to get a job as its more of a 'career' here than a job unlike other places. Im also not sure how easy it is for people with full time jobs to find part time work, usually I would think it would be good cause they don't have to pay you benefits and you are willing to work nights and weekends....but I'm not sure

I applied a few places though, we shall see!

$200 * 250 = $50,000... I suspect they make more than that, that's probably the minimum

If you have the looks, then you make more. (Lots of) men are stupid and will tip a redbird over a single because it makes them feel good.

Cocktail waitress make lots of money and many of them don't even work the full 8 hours. Lots of times they are ask if they want to leave early. My sister loves to come home early when allowed to do so.

Benefits are tied to hours worked. In my case I have to work 32 hours a week. Otherwise I have to pay prorated amounts for my benefits.

So watch out when the early-outs start stacking up.

If you're young, have decent experience under your belt (say roughly 2 years bartending) and fortunate enough to work in the big name clubs, one can make six figures. I know a few girls that worked at XS, Hakkasan and Marquee that has makes six figures. Hell, when I was a student at UNLV, one of my classmates was a cocktail waitress. We walked to the parking lot together one day and after saying our goodbyes, I saw her rolling out in a BMW 5 Series. She was 23 years old at the time.

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that getting a job cocktailing on the strip is fairly easy at certain properties. I recently pursued a cocktailing job last winter when I turned 21 I had offers within a matter of weeks from The Palms, hard rock, & the M. Like I said I had no experience and I got these offers, however they were on-call positions and that is the way you must start. I wouldn't consider myself a Megan fox or Kim kardashian, but I am young, blonde & have a great personality and love to give great service I think if you have the right attitude you can get any job on the strip you want! Good luck to you!

Side note- it is a very hard job and just not for me. You deal with ALOT. You make great money but it definitely comes at a price!
