My son and I are new in town, besides Boulevard Mall is there any other nicer malls? In addition, I thought New Yorkers are the heaviest smoker, boy I was wrong! I'm not a smoker nor my son, but we smell like one! My apartment leaks cigarette smoke, don't know who or where its coming from, but definitely one or more does in my building. Management can't do anything about it, so we're dealing with it until I find a better place to live in. Any advice? Greatly appreciate the thought. Thanks

Boulevard Mall tends to be a bit rough. Best of the malls is the Galleria in Henderson. Meadows off 95 between Decatur and Valley View is better.

Generally the east side is a little rough. You might want to think about SE or S or SW or W or NW. For apartments the corridor between Trop and DI from Decatur and west is reasonable.

Somebody help...what is the place around Ft. Apache that Julia is going to try?

When I first came here, smoking was allowed in the malls that Olecat mentioned. Oh yea also the entire airport was white with clouds of smoke. Vegas leads the country in many bad things but one of them is smoking related deaths. While there are no statistics kept on this....... this statement is easily arguable but many will tell you this: Many LV transplants relocate here for one reason, the freedom to smoke wherever and whenever they please.

That is not so much true anymore with some new unenforced laws that came to be this year. But it is better.

I even seen one woman who had a tracheotomy and stuck the cigarette in the hole in her neck so she could contine smoking. She was dumping quarters down the hatch in a slot machine.

The Boulevard Mall is considered to be the "sketchy" mall in town. Meadows can be a bit rough too, but like Olecapt said, it is definitely better than Boulevard.

Galleria in Henderson is very nice, as well as Fashion Show (on the strip).

Don't mean to interrupt the bashing of the Boulevard Mall, but they just opened an Old Navy, which I found to be a nice turn of events.

carry on!

All depends Chest. I like shopping on Main Street and such as well. Don't recommend it however to the faint of heart.

And the gentility order of the malls is correctly portrayed. I find the Fashion Show too too...and avoid it. But I like Meadows and would like Galleria but it is too far.

I can't stand the Galleria, stores have been leaving there like crazy, i used to shop there until i went to the Boulevard which has a larger selection in its dept stores and has some better stores, plus the trend there has been new stores lately. the fashion show is nice, but so is town square which is like the fashion show but with much better parking...

I was at Meadows mall most of the evening buying some last minute gifts. Packed like crazy, and for the first time, I didn't hate being there. Just couldn't find the car too easy coming out though.

As for the Galleria, I always liked that mall. A big step up from Meadows.
Can't wait for the mega mall in Centennial Hills. Will be the closest one then for me.
