I am kind of amazed people complain about those things, which should not surprise. What also surprises me is that you don't hear too many people complain about these things that are real:

1. Casinos run everything they want to through the political process. They will argue against anything for the public good if they feel they are paying a penny more than they need to, which is almost always.
2. After casinos, the unions and the taxi people get their way too. These people will never pay for anything towards the public good.
3. Many people will argue against anything for the public good if they have to pay 1 cent for it.
4. Many people will argue against anything for the public good if they are inconvenienced by it for 5 minutes or more a year.

Literally years. Especially around the Air Force base. Same two guys since 2009.

Last time I was in Las Vegas I heard someone comment on the fact they were amazed that there were celebrities in Las Vegas and that you actually saw them around town....

All those homeless that you speak of probably make more in a year than you do. You ever wonder why they stay in the same location for so long? If it wasn't profitable they'd move on.

Having frequented the sex capital of the world 3X, Bangkok and their Pat Pong red light district, and way too many visits to the Zona Norte red light district in Tijuana, and to Amsterdam, I'm shocked that this city is not more shocking!

How shocking can a city be when it was founded by Mormons and continues to have the largest Mormon population outside of Utah?

Do people honestly come here and expect to not run into these things on a regular basis?

What else have people posted about here in recent days that they were "Shocked" to find in lovely "Sin City"?

Maybe we should maintain a list of things here that people should expect if they visit or move here permanently so that they are not caught off guard.
Too many Californians are moving in and bringing their nanny state values with them. We tend to either convert them, or chase them off soon enough.

Sadly the ones that are doing well in California are the ones NOT moving to Clark County. Not saying all but many of the people moving here are near or at the bottom of the social/economic ladder. Nothing wrong with them moving here but we have to deal with their.........

Yesterday afternoon, driving on Durango, a guy cut me off and the guy was smoking a joint with his windows down, California plates on the car.

I have many relatives in CA and they are all staying in CA regardless, educated and hard working. They are in Irvine, Tustin, Aliso Viejo, Rancho Palos Verdes and San Francisco. They visit once in a while.

People kill each other here. A lot. People run into things with cars here. A lot. I'm trying to assume it's just because it's a bigger city, but...
