I am in favor of the wind.

I'm confused as to why people consider Las Vegas the "Sin City."
I think that I can find a lot more sin in cities such as Los Angeles, New York city and many other cities.

I think the people mean the culture shock of it as it applies to everyday life outside of the lure of the Strip or Fremont.

They expect those things in the certain areas they know that are known to tourist.

I think they are surprised by how it's even a part of the rest of Vegas.

Though many of these people are living closer to the strip I find. Not what they would have called close but the Eastern edges of spring valley for instance. I think they maybe get a little surprised at the people they see playing nickel slots at the local AM PM.

I have no idea really though. I read the other day where someone was surprised at how many had tattoos.

The interesting thing is that we are not really into the sin business. For instance we are not a legal pot state where by all rational thought sin city should be leading the way.

And Nevada went out of its way to ban same sex marriage even though we have a thriving business of marrying folk who could make a bundle off it.

And we avoid legalizing prostitution even though we are likely putting the legal brothels out of business with our illegal escort services. Who is going to ride to Pahrump when it is a phone call away from your door?

We are kind of the Disney of sin...suggesting it but just simulating it for most. And our gambling is probably the most honest and fair of anywhere...we don't cook the outcome of a Video poker machine which occurs many other places.

I personally believe we ought to take a more leading role in at least some stuff...mj for instance.

But prostitution is tricky. May be more downside to legalizing it than upside for doing so.

Not when it's as hot as today. The wind makes it worse. Like a hair-dryer in your face.

New York, New Orleans, and LA are sleazier than Las Vegas could ever be.

But I'm shocked that you all are shocked at those hypocrites who say they are shocked.

Its not just the users of CD either...

On the Lake Mead Nat Rec Areas FB page there is pretty much an entire thread of people complaining about all the rocks on BOULDER BEACH....ummmmm hello!

I have pretty much no hope left for humanity these days.
