Had no idea wild donkeys existed until a week ago when I ran into one while hiking near Baker. unfortunately it huffed and puffed at me when I tried to get close. Then I watched its wife and baby join it and leave. It was so cool!!!!!

So I looked on Youtube and saw videos of donkeys sticking heads into cars and eating out of peoples hands. So where are these places?????

Don't. Feed. Wild. Animals.

I know exactly where, and I'm not going to tell you. Because you'll muck it up for the rest of us. Some people cannot be content with just SEEING wildlife. No, they have to interact. And then the government swoops in and shoots all the horses/donkeys because they've become accustomed to humans to the point where someone gets too close and receives a bite.

This ^

I would LOVE to get close to some wild animals, BUT I know that doing so is bad for them.

Do not feed the animals!!! There are signs ALL OVER where these animals live stating "Do not feed the wild horses or burros"

I know exactly where too. Last year, I think it was, when a burro was hit killed because of someone feeding. Came to the car then decided to cross the road. Yeah, don't feed the wild donkeys! LOL

Go to Bonnie Springs Petting Zoo just beyond Red Rock Canyon.

DO NOT BOTHER THE WILD BURROS (not called donkeys) at RED ROCK CANYON. First of all it's illegal and you could get arrested. But if you ignore that, and it sounds like you are dumb enough to ignore it, you are inviting them to look for free handouts from tourists, and that contributes to cars hitting them, and both people and burros getting killed. So unless you want someone's death, or the death of a burro, on your hands, leave them alone.

First off, wild burros and donkeys do not have "wives". Second, it's wild, get it!! If you try to feed a truly wild animal you may lose a finger or a hand. And get kicked in the crotch in addition. If it's been fed enough to take handouts from tourists, it's not really wild anymore.

If you really want to feed and pet a "wild animal", give some handouts to all the homeless people hanging around at intersections.

EXACTLY!!! Why can't people just leave things, be?!? The animals don't need their friendliness. They've got each other! And folks wonder why we got circuses, zoos and d-mned Sea Word with their unnaturally trained Killer/Orca Whales! Why can't folks simply let nature do what it does and stay the heck away from them!?! Even the natives knew this much!
