We are moving that week, otherwise my husband would be making them.

I don't have a Costco membership and I don't think I know anyone who does. I've always heard their bakery items were above the average grocery store in quality.

I'm not a big fan of pumpkin pie either (I prefer Dutch Apple), but I was asked to bring pie.

No one makes pie as good as my mom did and she actually did make it from pumpkins.

Pies Unlimited supplies pies for the casino giveaways. I had their apple, and it was bland and dry. Not a fan.

You can buy a whole pie from any Marie Callendar's restaurant. They have a good pumpkin cheesecake too.

Another option that works for me is the small pies you can get at wal-mart. Got about 50 different varieties.

I understand not wanting to wait in line. Did you know that you can purchase your Marie Calendar's pie online, pay, and schedule a pickup at the store of your choice? Their system works well.

Yeah, I did it a number of years ago. I had to go down there on Thanksgiving day and pick up the pie. They were pretty efficient, but the line was long. I mean really long.

Additionally, the closest one is 20-30 minutes from my house.

Whole Foods makes a very nice pumpkin & spice pie. They even make a vegan pumpkin & spice pie if you are so inclined.

Whole Foods also makes a traditional sweet potato pie topped with marshmallow, white chocolate and dulce de lece.

We're ordering our entire Thanksgiving dinner through Whole Foods this year. In addition to the pies, we get a 16 pound turkey, 8 pound glazed ham, sourdough and sage dressing, roasted root vegetables, mashed sweet potatoes, green been casserole, orange cranberry relish, and rolls. Sure beats cooking & cleaning, lol.

Pies unlimited is actually located in Sun City Summerlin close to Everdeen.

they sell the fresh stuff in a small and secret retail shop at Del Webb and Rampart.

We use them for our holiday pie which is mince. Also like their apple. Out of their retail shop the pies are hours rather than days old.

Call 433 7437 and they will reserve what you want. Three minute pick up.

Who would have thought there was a pie factory in Sun City Summerlin.

I totally forgot about WF and I love that store. They always have high quality items.

That sounds really smart. We are doing pot luck. I'm doing a salad and pie.

Actually, I do love cooking Thanksgiving dinner. It's my favorite holiday.
