Ugh. I smoke, but only outside. The smell of cigarette smoke in a house is awful.

I wonder if you could get a high end filtrete filter and reduce some of the odor?
You've also got to wonder, if the air in your place is reeking, are there some shared ducts for heating and cooling in the units? I certainly would not like to be subsidizing my neighbor's AC bill.

My best guess is there are some shared ducts because the way the smells come in, how could there not be? I talked to the manager today and he got a ten day suspension without pay and a stern warning that things could have gone a lot worse if I'd simply bypassed allowing the complex management to handle it and gone straight to corporate. I let her know that that is exactly what will happen should it occurs again. In the meantime, I'm looking at rental houses in the Spring Valley/Enterprise area.

Just as an update, the dope smoking employee received a ten day suspension without pay and a warning that termination is the next step. I'm cool with that and in the meantime, I'm going to explore single family house rentals.

Yes, find a home for you and your daughter, you will be totally spoiled once you live in a house. No common walls! Yeah!

I'm pretty sure that's the route I want to take. I was just asking the leasing office what the buy out of the lease process was just for my info. I'm hoping I can find a really good agent to rent a small single story home for around 1200 max.

So has the issue been resolved? ...Or is he spending his suspension in the apartment blazing up?

Hi. Yes, I'm guessing the suspension and reprimand was successful. I've not smelled a scent nor heard a peep from them since. I see him out from time to time and he's friendly. It wasn't personal, so I guess that should be the end.

Yeah, me, either. But here I find myself doing just that. I'm on the hunt for another living situation. So hopefully I won't have to endure for much longer.
