Just moved here 4 months ago and I'm looking for a good news radio station. You know, something with traffic/weather on the 8s or 5s. I've come across two stations: KXNT FM 100.5 and KDWN AM 720. The problem is there more talk than news. Am I missing any others?

When I lived in the Bay Area my favorite station was KCBS 740 and it was pretty much all news. I have not really found something like that here in Las Vegas unless you have Sirius XM radio. KCBS 720 comes in at night here and so does 1070 KNX in Los Angeles

Las Vegas doesn't have a news station, at least a good one.

Good luck. We here in Las Vegas have been looking for a good radio news station for over 40 years.

Wow. I know Vegas is not that big in square miles and traffic can't compare to LA/OC but it would be nice to have traffic updates every 10 mins. Especially during rush hour near the bowl. Well for news I'll keep listening Los Angeles KNX 1070 via TuneIn Radio on my smartphone. I connect it to the car speakers via aux cable and 'hooray' 24 news. Thanks for replies.

Sorry, there aren't really any good local radio news programs here. 100.5 does have a local show early mornings (I believe from 6 to 9) but the rest of the schedule is filled with syndicated shows like Limbaugh, Hannity and so on. There is a local show hosted by a guy named Kevin Wall from 3 to 6 in the afternoon, but I find him obnoxious.

Most radio stations have traffic updates, but only during morning and late afternoon commutes.
