Did it migrate to a new station or just morph into the talk drivel I've been hearing? It was fun to listen to on the road. Now

It's gone. Now it's a simulcast of KXNT talk radio. The new program director is doing a fine job of alienating the listener base, too.

The morning drive news show blows chunks (as does most of the other indoctrination...oops, scratch that, commentary).

I am glad I have satellite radio. So much better. Sign up for it like a trial period. Then when it's running out, call to cancel. They will ALWAYS give you a great deal to stay.

That's exactly what I did and they continue to give me five months for $23.

Yeah, I was so bummed when Jack went away. It was really the only station I listened too. Does anyone really prefer talk over music?

I totally prefer talk over music. The reason is that if you listen to the music channels, satellite radio included, you are bound to hear the same set of songs over and over and over and over and over..... and it kills me. Not to mention the music jocks that try to be hip and cool but in reality just blabber so much irrelevant BS that my brain hurts and my ears throw up. Or just makes me fall asleep.
Obviously I don't agree with all the talk station politics on the AM band, but at least they inspire questions and thoughts. Compare the right wing opinions with the lefties, and then think for yourself and form your own opinion. That being said, JackFM was one of the very few FM stations I could stand, because they actually did their own thing, and had variety.

The worst day of radio was when the LA station FreeFM/KLSX killed the talk format and converted it into yet another generic redundant top 40 hits station. Talk about removing good content! Adam Carolla, (Howard Stern was there before going Sirius), Frosty Heidi & Frank, Tom Leykis and more. Not always politically correct (thank god), but always wildly entertaining and thought-provoking.

I am minutes away from cancelling my sirius subscription, because the music channels are all boring me to death. Sure, they have talk shows as well, but Howard alone can't interest me enough. I am now loading the ipod with podcasts and plugging it into the car stereo. It literally takes hours and hours off of the long trips.

I think if I took a lot of long trips, I would subscribe to satellite since none of the local stations interest me at all, but I'm hardly ever in my car anymore.

Give SiriusXMU a shot before unsubscribing!
