I'm curious what station casinos pays its hourly employees (F&B mainly). I know they're anti-union, but do the wages compare to union properties?

About half. The benefits stink. And they'll overwork you every chance they get.

Yeah, I work at a union shop so I'm probably biased. But a lot of my F&B co-workers moved from Station as soon as they could because Station is such a rotten place to work.

If you have the choice, work on the Strip.

A lot of people can't just walk into a job at one of the Strip resorts. If the have to break in somewhere, Station has a lot of properties where they could start.

i know a start out cage cashier is under $10... Strip starts out around 17....The GRA's also start under $10. The wages are poor and the benefits stink.

Station Casinos is a great company to work for and
we have awesome culture. Benefits are great as well.

If you want to better yourself and move up in industry then I would recommend working for Station Casinos. If you want to be a clock puncher like Scoop in a same job for years without any motivation to move up then go to union properties.

Scoop is far from a "clock puncher". He is a dedicated professional. My son worked at Bouchon, my ex works at the Venetian. I know a good restaurant when I see one. Palace Stations has Austin's (excellent) and that's it.

They aren't union because the Ferttitas are not the nicest people. Ask the Greenspuns if you need confirmation.

The best way to be good, is by being good.. not taking down people better then you.

As far as employee treatment there, I have been told by many that Stations casino
"Hates locals"

I have a friend that works there and has been trying to get a promotion for 3 years.
He's never been late...and never called out ONCE...not ONCE.
They paint this picture of room for advancement, but it's not for everybody.

I agree with you about Austin's, but isn't it at Texas Station, not Palace Station?
