Nevada (NV) - Virtual Globetrotting

This link above is best ive seen so far

You cant really see locations when you click on most the homes, but if you copy the Lon and Lat coordinates and paste them to google maps (all numbers, take away "lat:, lon: ) it will pull the house right up for you with the exact address.

And? They shouldn't post this list because they're

I did not get it either alive or dead people want to see places where they lived. I have a friend over on Lake Meade who bought Loreen Greens (Ben Cartwright of Ponderosa show) house from his estate 2 years ago even though it was a bit run down it is neat to say who owned before you. If you go past Viking to a complex called Forest Hills Townhouses Liberace had a custom home there. He had stained glass windows in the place and when it was sold a woman from California bought it and removed the windows. She stole the place for $280,000.00. Well now that the market is rebounding and Liberace is being some what revived she shipped back the windows and had them re installed. But it would be neat to own the place. So off to do more searching for stuff about old Vegas and ho lived here.

Sorry, I was thinking the post was about present day stars. I see it isn't. Dead stars shouldn't post though because ...well, that's just too scary.

If you include dead stars you'd be a week getting around to all of those.

The Liberace house is pretty easy to find. So's the Wayner's.

I still say there is a business opportunity here.

That link is worth saving in 'Favorites'. Somebody went to a lot of trouble to create it.

Here is a google earth map I found a while ago while researching Vegas:

https://groups.google.com/a/googlepr...mes.kmz?part=3

If the link works it should give you the option to download a .kmz file of many celebrity homes in Vegas.

I believe you must have Google Earth installed on your computer to view the .kmz file.

The only ones I know of and have driven past, though both are still alive, are Sigfried and Roy's house at the corner of W Vegas Dr. and Valley Dr. and Wayne Newton's palatial estate at the corner of Sunset and Pecos Roads. The Winns used to live on Shadow Creek Golf Course off Losee Rd in North Las Vegas but I believe they lost the house when they sold off the Mirage Company to MGM. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please. It's a private golf course so I don't think you can just drive back there.

Alive or dead, that's a great list..:-) One could spend a day or two just driving around looking for
those addresses. I'd love to go by the house the DeNiro character in Casino lived at...the one that
"Ginger" drove over the front yard with her Benz. (assuming that scene was actually shot in Las Vegas).

In real life her name was Virginia Hill. I don't think in this day and age the Mob would have made it in LV. Their motto for Las Vegas tourist was Feed them good and the **** them in the Casinos. Back in the 50,60 and 70, the banks would not finance the building of casinos so many of the inverters needed money to finish their projects turned to the Mob sold part interest of the casinos to them and the rest was history. Funny how the population of the mid west and back east during this time tagged Nevada with the "satins playground" when in reality the money $$ for it was coming from their areas from all of the illegal vices they had and their pension funds lol. Howard Hughes started the corporate America stampede in LV and then it was called Legit because you could buy shares on Wall ST to invest. The only difference now is you are not a target for a hit but the same motto still is in place but on a larger scale.
