I got estimates for my front yard. My next door neighbor and I wanted to have a low block wall, 4 ft tall and about 54 ft long. They said it would cost $2,250 including labor and materials. I feel that $2,250 is high for 4 ft tall and 54 ft long. Is that too much? Your feedback would be nice.

Thanks!
David

When I had my swimming pool installed, they took down a 10 foot section of my block wall and charged me $1,300 to put it back. That meant that I was paying more than $21 per square foot to have my section of wall replaced. Pool cntractors tend to charge twice the standard rate for anything done beyond the original contract.

You were quoted about $10.50 per square foot for a new wall. I know it seems very high, but it's probably close to the standard rate.

That sounds about average. I had a block wall also put in, probably real close to your measurements.

I loved the guy that did mine, and highly recommend him.
I will send you a PM.

All in all you're just another...block in the wall.

If you think the price is too much, you can always try this:
