Hi,

Is the Las Vegas furniture market retail or wholesale? I heard that after the tradeshows one can get some pretty good deals there.

Any advice on where to get nice furniture at in Vegas at a discount? Thanks.

mostly to the trade only(all you need is a designer to buy it for you), But i suspect that a few times a year they open it up for sales.

I was under the impression that it is now open to the public. Or at least part of it is.

Proof positive that the economy is inching up. We're back to 500% markup on furniture.

Reminds me that I need to send my saw blades out for sharpening.

We'll be sure to check the place out when we get to town.. we will have a few rooms to furnish. Although with the transient nature of the city, Craigslist looks mighty enticing for "room-filler" furniture in the rooms that won't get much use.

Can't beat craigslist and don't think you have to fill out your house in 2 weeks.

Exactly. We have typical "New England" furnishings, but my wife is very attached to them. My project in the next few months is to convince her that we should sell the furniture here and re-buy "desert-appropriate" furniture when we get there. It will save on moving costs and I think the furniture would look out of place surrounded by stucco..
