I'd find a restaurant with live music or eat and go to the strip to find a lounge band, piano bar or something like that.

First Friday | Downtown Las Vegas | 10.05.2012 - YouTube

First video I found on Youtube and its not me. I've been a few times but it's always been to appease an artsy type female. I dont know if I could handle the crowd sober.

First Fridays is the SH*T. It is what keeps downtown alive. At least for the locals.

I have some long videos that I will post soon.

I would start out by taking a the scenic drive of Red Rock Canyon and short walk/hikes at the overlooks. (Nice experience with NO KIDS) Then stop by the Red Rock Resort for a buffet which is quite awesome and it even has a wonderful selection of sushi. On the way home stop at Fremont and watch the FS experience light show while sitting and sipping on a tea/coffee/lemonade at Starbucks patio outside the Golden Nugget. Total cost would be gas, $7 for Red Rock Canyon, $28 for 2 buffets, (don't forget to get a Station slot card first to save on buffet cost), and $10 for 2 mochas at Starbucks.

Have a romantic dinner by the lake at Marche Baccus and enjoy a walk afterwards. They are offering live music these days according to their website.

He won't get out of Marché Bacchus for under $100, which was his limit. Quicken tells me my last three visits were $195, $171, and $187 with tip, and we normally just order one glass of wine each.

You can get out of Marché Bacchus for less than a C-note, but it won't be a particularly satisfying meal. A buffet just doesn't feel much like a "date" to me. But a rodezio steakhouse combines the best of a sit-down restaurant with AYCE. I still think that's the best bet -- both diners get what they want, and there's no concern of, "I have a date with destiny. And it looks like she ordered the lobster."

Without wine? Marche Bacchus is easy. Entries 20 to 30. Just plain a little carefully.

I would agree that the Admiral and I get into Charcuteries and such and get past that...But it is not hard if you are paying attention.

I would also point out there really is no better setting in Las Vegas at any rational price.
