They were there the other day when I went too. I just waved them away. They were still there when I left two hours later.

This sound like the typical voter registration scam thats done by both parties....I acept NO forms and answer NO question by ANYone on the street........

i have a brain....I will use it with no outside influences
And that's the best way to handle it
... get the forms from officials, not some random person.

Thanks to a previous job, I've seen it all. One of my favorite tricks is when the "rich people's party" mails reminders to vote to all the poor neighborhoods -- and moves election day back a week.

"Exercise your right to vote! Polls open Nov. 13, 2012 at 7 a.m."

I'm not happy with ANYONE pulling election shenanigans. But as far as I'm concerned disenfranchising voters is a far more grievous sin than trying to register people who aren't eligible to vote.

While I was getting my new license, one of the check boxes was "register to vote"
When we got to that part of the business, I told the DMV rep that I had already filled out the 'form'
she looked at the form, and said it is not the proper form, and would be ignored, and gave me the correct form to fill out... Now my question is, If I answered "Romney" WHAT FORM WOULD I HAVE RECEIVED?

Escorted to the front of the line.

In some neighborhoods in Chicago, the Dems do exactly that, except on election day they give out cash too (for the right answer)
Both parties use lots of tricks to try and get an edge...

It's funny that although the person didn't indicate a party affiliation you automatically equate their actions to "Republican" shenanigans. Doesn't seem like we know if they give the same form to everyone or not, or what party they have affiliation with if any. I personally don't identify with either party. [mod cut-- off topic] I think they should have just handed out a flyer saying "Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Though if people are willing to forgive registering people who aren't eligible to vote, 'compensation' for voting, and any other deception as not that bad then they're probably so blinded by parties that I doubt they would care.

Let's keep the discussion related to the OP, and leave the broader "election etc." discussion to the P and OC forum.

What I don't understand is why anyone would answer a personal question such as this from a complete stranger in the first place.
