I know it's been sold. I was there last week and spoke with a few poker dealers who said the rumor is that it was purchased by Harrah's and will no longer be a Station casino.

Does anyone here know anything about it?

It was sold to lenders, but is being managed by the Fertitta Company.

Station Casinos' subsidiaries join bankruptcy case - VEGAS INC

Now Aliante Casino is valued at 10% ($62 million) of the original cost to build it ($662 million) (LINK). Due to the bankruptcy it is now only $43 million in debt which also means it is now profitable.

Good news for those of us who live near it!

Its a very nice casino. Sort of a hidden gem since I hardly hear anything about it or people talking about. Great place to have an office party. Ive never won there though.

I'm surprised the Fertittas don't buy it back for $0.10 on the dollar like they did with the rest of the chain.

Pissing contest with the Greenspun family, who the Fertittas royally screwed on both Aliante and GVR.

Aliante Station is bank owned and Station entered into a 10 year management contract with bank owners, however I read in papers that the management contract was being terminated and that Station was managing the property on a short term basis. The bank does not want to own a casino for the long term, so the property is available. I would be surprised if Cesar's (Harrah's) would purchase a non strip hotel ( I know Rio is Cesar's but that's been rumored to be for sale too). I would like to see Boyd turn into a Sam's Town North or perhaps Penn Gaming buying the property and turn it into a Hollywood Casino. Penn seems to be intrested in buying assets and growing the Hollywood Casino brand.
