I am coming to Vegas in June to find a safe apt. semi close to UNLV. I would like to call a Property Management company to set up appts. to see some apartments. Would this be my best option? If so does anyone have any suggestions for a reputable Property Management company? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Safe? Perhaps "semi safe" would best describe an apt. "semi close" to UNLV...From 2006 to 2011, Las Vegas police investigated a homicide every 2.8 days on average.

Yeah but that's not any worse and a lot better than some places in the US....
Take Salt Lake City...They seem to be always way aboce the National avergae for homicides....

Unfortunately, the area directly surrounding UNLV is one of the highest crime zip codes in the Vegas Valley. Do you have a car?
