I think LV is just having growing pains. I have seen other cities come out of it and I think LV will to.

I do find it interesting, however, that only three states allow gambling by non-native American organizations, and only one of them has a state income tax. But then again, it is the most corrupt state in the country.

Don't bite. The State position thing is basically a statistical aberration. Nevada is effectively one big city, one small city and little else. That causes it problems against other states with large suburban and rural populations.

But as JFK knows perfectly well the schools of Las Vegas are significantly better than the schools of the cities of upstate NY. There are good schools in upstate...but almost all in fancy suburbs. The rural schools are generally pretty bad as well.

Ignore the state stuff. As cities go Las Vegas is middle of the pack. The good schools of Las Vegas interchange with the good public schools elsewhere.

I agree 100%. I'm just playing devil's advocate here. I understand that Las Vegas is middle of the pack and I'm happy about that because I have lived in alot of places that were towards the bottom.

The grass is not always greener, but in this case, it will be for me.
