Are there places to go swimming aside from the usual places like the Y open to the public? How about outdoor places?

A lot of the casinos have day passes. I'm right by Aliante and they are starting to advertise day passes for $10.

There are a couple of public pools at community centers. Silver Pines in NLV has a pool.

Desert Breeze on Spring Mtn, and Buffalo/Durango (?). Somewhere in there.

They have indoor and outdoor pools. Its crowded as hell in the afternoons, but its a nice pool.

I cannot recommend the swimming pool at Vdara.
