When I visited for my interview, I couldn't get over the number of luxury cars on the road.....more than average for any city in the US. Yet I am in one of the most economincally devestated parts of the country????

at one time, Las Vegas had the largest per capita number of Rolls Royces in the US.

We nicknamed them "Las Vegas Volkswagons"

Most people in the casinos make a pretty-good (or better) wage. It's the people who work as retail clerks and similar positions that I don't know how they make ends meet.

I wouldn't want to try to live in this town on a part-time $10 per hour job.

I think Sarasota must have just as many fancy, "luxury" cars as Vegas...they're everywhere!
