Anyone use them in Vegas?

I'm looking for a car to rent for my trip next month and they have a great deal on a convertible, but some reviews I have been reading make me a little afraid. Like, the rental office is not located in the airport. They give you a free shuttle...which some say is actually 2 shuttles...and once you get there the check in process is slow, cars aren't clean, etc. But sometimes those reviews can't be believed.

They are the cheapest and I know you get what you pay for, but does anyone have any personal experiences with them?

You have to take a shuttle no matter WHO you rent a car from in LV. If you rent from Fox, when you get to the rental car center you then take another shuttle to the Fox location.

I don't know anything else about them except the times I have rented a car in LV there always seems to be a few people renting from Fox as well.

I have rented from fox several times but not in las Vegas. They have NEVER had the car that I reserved in advance. I bark and get the rental for next to nothing

Don't know anything about Fox rental. But many if not most, of the casinos have a rental car office right in the hotel lobby, and the cars are in their parking garage. Waaaaay easier than riding around on a shuttle, trying to get back and forth to the main rental car lots. Just be sure to make a reservation to pick up your car at the hotel.

Vacations are short, and are supposed to be fun. So I'm not about to waste my time riding around on some damn shuttle.

Off-airport rental locations CAN be cheaper (not always the case), but you may have a far smaller selection of cars than you would at an airport location. I've run into more problems (albeit nothing huge) at franchise, vs. corporate, rental locations. I've never rented from Fox, but know they have locations in many places. Make sure you use any possible discounts (e.g., membership department store like Costco, insurance company, airline frequent flyer program membership). You don't necessarily need a car to get around the Strip or downtown LV. I think parking, at least self-parking, is usually free, though in some cases you can end up having a long walk to the lobby and your room.
