I've got a platinum credit card with a $25,000 limit on credit that is below 700.
The harassing phone calls are down to about one a year and I think they're past the time to collect, I was out of the country for a good part of the last ten years anyway.
I just won't give into scams.

if its past 4 years, its past the statute of limitations. unless you paid anything towards the debt in the last 4 years... and 700 isn't terrible...

true but again, the time begins at the original date of last activity.... so if a debt collector calls after 4 years, the debt is beyond the sol and that is your defense in court...

however, if you give the collector even a penny, the clock is restarted
