Is it possible to be in the Red Rocks or other mountains and see an entertaining view of the Strip at midnight?

The guard-gated entrance to Red Rock Canyon closes at 5 p.m., so that won't work. You might find a nice spot somewhere outside the canyon.

If you are asking can you see the fireworks from there, probably not. Too far away. We are considering a certain dog park where the view is good, but the best place to see the fireworks is on TV.

I thought it would be cool to be in the mountains with that distant view of the strip and the fireworks off in the distance.
