Tuesday night at Boulder Station a really odd thing happened to me. I had a $5 comp and a $5 bill burning a hole in my pocket so I went to Boulder to squander the money. My plan was to lose the money and leave.

I went to a penny Diamond Point machine called Capricorn Mountain. I played my comp and I was actually ahead. I had $10.09. Then the machine crashed and a message appeared on the screen to call the attendant. I did. First the floor worker came over and then 2 slot techs. The machine was fried and they started replacing cards/circuit boards. After about 20 min I gave up and asked them to give me my money. They couldn't get the ticket to print so they called a supervisor and she paid me.

I went and lost $5 on nickel VP and then went back to see if 'my' machine was fixed. The machine was still open so I went to one on the other side and sat down. Suddenly, there were casino workers all around me asking where I had been and explaining they were all looking for me. My first thought was they were going to accuse me of breaking their machine.....

Nope, they were all smiles and the supervisor pulled a ticket out of her pocket and said if I would give her $10.09, I could have it. It was for $1010.09. The machine had fried itself trying to pay me the jackpot.

Here's the thing. I didn't know I had won and I walked away. Any of those people could have just pocketed the money. I am amazed they were all so honest. And they were all looking for me to pay me the money. I think I like playing at Boulder more now!

Since every second of what happened was on tape somewhere they likely know better. Fast way to lose a job and find yourself blacklisted.

quick story... years ago.. bought a big screen tv, without the wifes knowledge of course... i wasn't home but they delivered 2.. wife took them in.... 2hrs later, i get home, pack the tv into the truck and return it... Delivery guys called me an idiot and much worse for returning the tv....Manager was ecstatic, thanked me, and gave me $100 gift card.... Felt good.... Nothing worse in my mind than a thief.

She didn't bilk the casino out of money. She won $1010, but she thought she only won $10. And she was happy that she doubled her free slot play. Even happier that she actually won the jackpot.

Nope. I won the jackpot and that's what fried the machine. Believe me, they knew and checked it all out before handing me the money.

When I came back to the machine, they already knew who I was and had queried my play history on the machine. The machine told them I won!

What kind of sick twist of logic is that? How do you even go there? The machine malfunctioned during the jackpot payout... the tech people discovered this and tried to locate yellowsnow. I don't see how you get to "bilking the casino" when it was the machine's fault and yellowsnow could have ended up with a measly $10 if it weren't for the honest tech workers. Yellowsnow did nothing wrong.
