My aunt is coming in on Wednesday, and both of us are working and can't pick her up.

Anyone got a suggestion for an inexpensive way to get her to the far west end of Ann Rd.?

She can rent a car and drive to you or else stay in a hotel on the strip or take the express bus to Suncoast and stay there until you can come pick her up or take a taxi from Suncoast.

Drop one of your cars off at the airport before you go to work. Leave the keys on top of the driver's side front wheel. Text her and let her know where the car is parked (and where the keys are located).

There are a lot of potential problems with that solution from the car being stolen before she gets it to her having an accident in your vehicle. Better off wrecking a rental car with one day of CDW or paying full taxi fare all the way.

Expensive, either way.

Having a relative use your car unattended in a strange city is big financial risk on top the risk of leaving keys on a tire in an airport parking lot.
They didn't give their definition of inexpensive. It might be worth $70 to have a door to door taxi ride from the airport or they might want to do the cheapest possible thing of riding RTC all the way with multiple bus transfers in not nice neighborhoods dragging luggage.
Taking the WAX to Suncoast and taxi the rest of the way would be in the middle. Much cheaper than taking a taxi the whole way and not a rough or difficult/complicated bus ride.
She could also get a room at the Doubletree, taking their free shuttle to the hotel and go rest in the room until she is picked up.

Cough, cough,=Sick day. Maybe take half the day off. Then of course as mentioned airport shuttles. Offer a friend $30.00 to do it.

Family will always make things inconvenient for you when you have to pick them up at the airport. They always pick the crazy times which is to their benefit. It's going to come down to one of you taking some time off to pick her up...

What time will she get in? I'll be on that side of town for a 2PM Dr Appoint. If it's close to 3:00-3:30 I could give her a lift since I live in the NW close enough to Ann Rd.

First of all, you're not going to get a taxi from McCarran to the NW for $70. RTC is the way to go but with luggage(?) Bad idea. Shuttle to the Suncoast. OK. Then taxi to NW. Yawn... OK. Doubletree? Seriously?? Is that inexpensive (even factoring in the free chocolate chip cookies)? Just leave the "hoop-dee" with the keys.
