There is also the airport express bus from McCarran to the RTC on Centennial, then I imagine there's a bus up Ann Rd. Wouldn't be right to the door though. Maybe she could get a cab from there that wouldn't require a second on the house.

ScoopLV, here is an outside shot. There are a few airport shuttles from LAS going north (e.g., to St. George UT). Maybe you call & arrange for one of them to take her either to your home or to a place along the way of their normal route. One I am looking at online says the fare is $29.95 for a one-way fare from LAS to St. George - maybe for an extra $10 or so they would agree to drop her off where you want.

The other thing is I've always found that there are numerous affordable rental car options - as low as $12/day before all the fees, which push it up to maybe $20 or $25 or so.

I recently took a car/limo service from the airport to the NW (Decatur & Deer Springs). I think I used On Demand Limo which was recommended here on the forum. I just asked for a town car and it was about $60 and well worth it in my opinion. They will quote you over the phone. I will definitely go that way again.

What specific airport express bus is that?

What a difference between Florida and Nevada. In Florida, I could fly into MIA or FLL and take the Keys Shuttle 150+ miles direct to my front door for $100. It's about the same price for a cab to the west end of Ann here.

The cab costs less than taking a day off, so I'll likely tell her to cab it. I'll tell her the shuttlebus to Suncoast idea, too. But we're talking about an old lady with luggage who will have just landed from a 13-hour flight from Korea.

So, the Doubletree would be the least tiresome trip after getting out or the airport. Less stressful than checking in to a crowded strip hotel. Short shuttle ride and then go to the room to nap or watch tv until you can come pick her up.
Everyone is away at work, so was she going to take a taxi that would arrive at an empty house?

It's just a job or a days pay. Take the day off and go meet her at the airport.
She's family...I can't believe there's any question about this. Your showing more loyalty to the job than an elderly Aunt? Now I can understand if it's a situation of where there is a possibility of a job loss but sometimes men have to do what they have to do.

Oh, man. She will be exhusted. Take the time off, or pay for her cab. She won't be in any shape to go through busses and transfers, etc. I know I wouldn't. Again, if it's around 3:30PM or so, I can swing by the airport after I see the doc on Maryland Pkwy. But I don't speak Korean, and she'd have to wear a carnation so I'd recognize her.

Fuhgidabodit. It takes two hours by bus and cab. McCarran International Airport to W Ann Rd & N Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89149 - Google Maps

Apparently the one on Centennial doesn't go to the airport, but the one on Westcliff does. Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) | Commuter Express Routes (http://www.rtcsouthernnevada.com/transit/express/index.cfm#cx - broken link)

On second reading, it looks like you can change busses at Westcliff for Centennial. But not if you're an old lady in a strange country having just gotten off a 13 hour flight hauling luggage.
