Hello All

Anyone know anything about this subdivision? There's not too much on the forums about it.

Thanks.

The builder, Woodside homes, has been in bankruptcy since August. I wouldn't expect the full guarantee, or much in the way of customer service if the company folds.

The builder of the neighborhood we live in went bankrupt. We didn't buy our house new but.....the neighborhood isn't finished and there is a handful of houses that are not complete. The ones in the back as mostly complete with paint and everything, but they have been vandalized. I am assuming by neighborhood kids. The house in the front is just a wooden structure with a few windows installed. We were never told the builder was bankrupt and the unfinished houses would be that way for a long time when we bought our house. Granted we didn't ask, but who asks these things? I would say when buying a new home, consider the neighborhood and the placement of your home. Then ask yourself, if this builder goes bankrupt do I really want to live across the street from an unfinished house the neighborhood kids use as a jungle gym. Live and learn eh?

Woodside Homes started with a really wonderful product out there. Unique features. Awesome floorplans. As the neighborhood approached build out, you can literally see the cost saving measures the builder took to make them cheaper. The last phase of homes have a cheaper (common) stucco system vs. Smooth/sanded. The roof overhangs are not as intricate and I wonder if they might have built some of the models with a lower ceiling. You can actually see the "value engineering" at work.

Still, it's one of the nicer subdivisions out there. Like most everything in Mountains Edge...the homes are tightly packed together...really small setbacks from the street for such large homes.

Similar floorplans were built in Southern Highlands.
