We just moved to Henderson from Tucson (Oro Valley) and I can tell you without a doubt there are plenty of predators in the Tucson area. I've seen a bobcat, javelinas, many rattle snakes, and coyotes. I killed 2 scorpions in our house. My wife saw 2 mountain lions one morning during a walk. And this is all in a residential area.

I live in Henderson near Summit Grove & Eastern and I've seen a few coyotes. One night I was taking my run and I saw three of them running together down the street. As far as I can see they come into town to hunt the rabbits that I see everywhere. I'm a nature enthusiast and I hike a lot. Up near Mt Charleston on my hike a few weeks ago I saw a hawk, deer, and some wild horses. I went on a hike near Mt Potosi a few days ago and saw a deer w/ a fawn. I would love to see a mountain lion but I know they are hard to get a sighting of. I once saw one in Yellowstone National Park but so far I haven't seen any around the Las Vegas area. Has anyone actually seen any snakes around the Las Vegas area while hiking? I have been looking for them but have never seen one out here.

There are also those cute big horn sheep that go to that park in boulder city, and the wild burros out past red rock canyon that will eat carrots from your hands

A few years ago, a mountain lion was spotted in/near Floyd Lamb Park
