But they don't get...nor want...gambling.

It's funny you say this. I just had visitors in from CA. Of course I take them to my favorite show, Mystere, at the Treasure Island for the 9:30 show on Saturday night. Not only did we have an almost impossible time trying to find a parking spot, but as we were waiting in line for the show (which stretches from the theater, cross the casino, almost out the front door) I was trying to plunk down a couple of my chips on a table from the line...and I could NOT find an open spot anywhere. Mostly those disinterested-in-gambling-20-something-year-olds were hogging up all the spots on the table... Stupid gamblers

I agree with this, any time I see a table it's always the younger crowd around it and it's usually packed with them. Sometimes I wonder about the ages of these kids you see at the tables

And the language they use, OMG...I NEVER remember hearing that bad language as much as in recent years. Every other word out of their mouth is the F-Bomb, but then again, that's the normal lingo with the new generations of kids coming up.

Exactly airics, it's the young kids of today. I think that's why hotpa replied to jfk's post about the young kids not being interested in the table games. But we see it every day....

BTW, much good luck in your new job!

I dont think I swear to much personally, I especially hold my tongue in front of children. I try to maintain some degree of class

But at the same time, the use of bad language does not offend me, it takes a LOT of bad language in order for me to be offended. My father dropped the f-bomb freely when I was a child along with the rest of the infamous 4 letter words and often making dirty jokes around me my brother and sister when we were growing up

A few weeks ago though, I visited the 7-11 across the street from my apt, and there was a woman with 2 kids ages 3-6 swearing up and down like it was going out of style at her children. That offended me, especially since I was with an older friend of mine who has a 3 yr old, and a 5 yr old son, the lack of class some people have is shocking, and often times whats even worse is that a lot of those people as my friend pointed out that day "choose to be that way"

I personally have no problem using swear words or hearing them, it doesn't bother me. But there is a usage limit on them, and definitely should never be used in front of kids

What shocks me is the languages girl my age use. Call me old fashioned but I dont like hearing women swear, and I dont like to swear in front of them either. But girls in my age group 18-25 have worse potty mouths than some of my guy friends. Yeah thats real sexy to have a dirty mouth, you'll find your princecharming in no time

Actually I'm the opposite. My job probably makes me go that way though since I tend to only see people who have won BIG. I rarely gamble if ever anymore though. I think it was someone here who said it best. It's like feeding your money into a reverse ATM.

My gf is a pretty good slots player, she always starts with $20, and usually leaves with $30-$60 depending on which slot she plays, and which bonus game she hits

The largest amount I've ever won on a slot was $1.50 at New York-New York on a Wizard of Oz Slot, I got the Flying Money Bonus or whatever it was

Personally, I prefer live blackjack at a table. My gf and I visited the Sahara on one of it's last nights and I played some blackjack
