Probably heard the best live music of my life last night at Boomer's on Sirius, close to the Rio. It was a Monday Night Jam, hosted by the bar and 4 Until Late, a local blues band. Starts at 9 and runs till 1am or later.

I could compare it to hearing Clapton play Layla live in concert, perhaps. The planets just aligned and these folks were stellar. If it had been recorded, I would have been there to buy it.

Here's who was playing on the last song, a dynamite version of The Thrill is Gone:

Pam'E Keyboards/Vocal(well known local, plays all over Vegas)
Da Krusher Bass/Vocal(well known local, also plays all over)
Bruce Guitar/Vocal(Cirque de Soleil, Mystere)
Bruno Sax(the Elvis show?)
Clint Guitar/Vocal(Cirque de Soleil, Mystere)
Doug Drums/Vocal(local musician)

Yeah, I know that song is done too much.... But these guys made it over the top. I've been following the live music scene here for quite a while and this was the best. And it's free.
