I try and avoid at all costs the street Las Vegas Boulevard South from Sahara to Russell Road, I have been told that MANY people have had their money taken from them.

I can think of plenty of scary parts of this town

IMO the absolute WORST of all...

Washington Ave along all the letter streets

Others
Anywhere along Nellis Blvd
Lake Mead Blvd from Rancho to Hollywood
Anywhere in "Paradise"
Las Vegas Blvd North from Sahara all the way to Nellis AFB

IMO...pretty much anywhere east of I-15 is scary, the Henderson area being the exception

Bad areas by zip code
89030, 89032, 89101, 89102, 89104, 89106, 89107, 89109, 89110, 89115, 89120, 89121 (all the bad zips to avoid IMO)

The worst? Probably the flood tunnels. No better place to get knifed in the dark, IMO.

You're pretty much guaranteed that MLK in any city in the USA will be in one of the worst neighborhoods.

Besides...given the alphabet street area...just think of MLK as K, L and M Streets...combined!
