So playing 100 pulls, I was exactly where I started at $200 - with that, If I Gambled $1000 and just broke even, I would have accumulated $20 if slot dollars

The LV Sun machine is really part of an article about gambling addiction, and the virtual machine is meant to show the odds of winning. I don't think they meant it as a video game.

Aren't slot players at a disadvantage of 3.6% or thereabouts? What more does one need to know? Put in $100, expect to get back $96.40 on average. Put in $100,000, you'll get almost exactly $96,400 back. No need to simulate anything.

That's what I was thinking when I saw this on Ch-3 News.

After closer reading I think it a UNLV study about whether casinos should reveal odds that allow players to decide whether they want to take a long time to lose their money, and maybe win a little; or whether they want to take a shot a bigger wins, but not be able to play as long on the same amount of money. At least that's what I got out of it. I'm not sure what the Sun is trying to say. Not sure they do either. It's kind of interesting though. Not sure switching to video poker makes any difference. I'm sure the computer works pretty much the same way. I wonder which computer tells the cocktail waitress when to bring slot club players "free" drinks to keep them playing.

Video poker is slightly better. That is if you play each hand with perfect accuracy. Most people don't.
