Hey everyone,

We are coming back to our Condo in Henderson in June! I was wandering if it's possible to swim in LLV? And is there a really nice place at LM to spend a sunny afternoon? I don't even know if it's allowed to go in to the water....

Thanks in advance!

Greetings from Zurich!

Daniel

Of course you can swim in Lake Mead. Right now it's too cold, but in June it should be pretty nice.

Lake Mead is the largest man-made body of water in the western hemisphere (unless there is something newer in South America now that I don't know about). It's for sure the largest in this country, and for many years it was the largest in the world. However, the swimming beach isn't very good. Too many large rocks that hurt your feet. If you rent a boat you'll have access to better places. Just ask at the boat rental. When it's windy, which is often, it gets white caps that can sink a boat, so be careful.

Lake Las Vegas may be for residents only. I'd like to know the answer to that too.
