We are wanting to purchase a condo for vactions for our young family so a safe area green space and nice pool are a must. We have read about conversions some good some bad tom many renters etc. etc.
Can anyone recommend some complexes we should be looking at for less than 80K. Thanks

Try Mar-a-lago in Desert Shores. The local pool is just normal condo but there is also access to the very nice desert shores facilities.

Drop a note to Bledsoe3. He owns a unit in there.

The disadvantage of that complex is no rentals...

Look into Boca Raton on the south strip, I just bought a penthouse there, very secure, clean, well managed complex. nice pool, 2 gyms, theater, club house, funtion room, computer room etc. Most of the peope live there are Californian weekenders.

There are 1BR units under $80k at Boca Raton. Green space is limited, but it's there by the pool.

We were thinking more along Olecapt and in the NW. We have a 6 yr old and the strip I don't think fits right now. Anyone have any other suggestions on complexes or where to look for information.

Really? Nice... I am seriously looking at that building but I also would want a penthouse unit. I don't see any on the market now though, just a nice two bedroom.

isn't penthouse hotter than the units below, becuase it is directly underneath the roof, and get all the sun heat from the top.

There are a half dozen places that would work. Villas on the Green in Painted Desert. La Posada. Chateau Versaille, Red Hills, There may even be a few townhouses.
