Take 95, go north, and when you get to Indian Springs it's anywhere north of that.

If you like jazz you won't find much here.

You will find plenty of prostitution and loads of gambling degenerates.

I agree with most of the negative comments.

ymmv

But taking advice from people who don't live in Las Vegas, or haven't lived here for ten years would be stupid. They have no clue. And notice that the hatred that Northern Nevada has for the south is totally unfounded. Southern Nevada hardly even knows there is a northern Nevada. The original fight was started by a northern Nevadan, Senator Pat McCarran, for his selfish political and personal reasons and the people up there who don't even venture into southern Nevada still carry the same old stupid jealousy. After all we do support the whole damn state so they should be grateful. Still, northern Nevada is actually a wonderful place and the people, when you don't mention Las Vegas to them, are very nice and friendly. Northern Nevadans....we like what you've done with the place...keep it up. We love you in spite of how you hate us. It's one big damn state and all of it is better than at least 40 to 45 other states.

BTW: McCarran airport was named for a northern Nevada senator who pitted north vs. south for monetary gain. Canon airport in Reno was named for a southern Nevada senator who allegedly had more mob ties than Bugsy Siegel, and northern Nevada often accuses us of being mobsters down here.
Seems the OP ended up in San Antonio, she is currently posting all over that board as a current resident.

I guess Vegas lost out!

Sounds like just about any city in the world. And we all agree with you that you are negative. Why are you here?

if jazz is your thing, then the majority of us cities don't have culture by that estimate.

I don't know if you're aware of this but Jazz is an American art form.

The op referenced the arts as I recall.
