I am travelling to Vegas in March for 5 nights. I was looking into Aria as its so new, but reading many reviews, A LOT of people say that their rooms were not cleaned after the patrons before them.
Is this accurate, or do people only complain about the negatives, and not if they had a positive experience.

Also, on a side note,
Does the $20 trick work at Aria?

I personally think Aria is a dump. You would be better off staying at the Bellagio, Wynn, or The Venetian for that price.

I actually really like Aria now. I didn't the first time when I was there because it lacked character and I didn't stay there. However, the second time I got a good rate, so I stayed a few nights and really enjoyed it. Everything smells new and I love the glass corner in the room. My favorite rooms in Vegas are still at the Venetian and Palazzo though. Aria is definitely not dirty and I'd stay there again given the right price.

Most of those who don't like Aria were the same ones who were complaining about the new mega-resorts built in the 90s. They just can't accept the fact that Vegas is a city that changes very frequently and look for any excuse they can to bash what's different. In their minds any place without 99 cent shrimp cocktails and $5 blackjack doesn't belong here. Aria is a very high-end property and is exceptionally maintained. I'm sure there have been a few instances where a room wasn't totally ready, but that happens everywhere. Don't count on it happening to you, it's rare. I think you will have a great time, everyone I know who has stayed there has had great things to say. You are also right next door to the Cosmo, an even newer casino that you should check out.
