No, he's not. He spends his time searching the Internet in an attempt to find any negative article on Las Vegas. And even when he finds one that isn't in the least bit negative, he attempts to spin it in such a way as to present the information as negative.

If he was trying to be informative (what a laugh), then he'd post positive articles about LV in addition to articles portraying LV in a negative light. Instead, whenever there is a positive article posted by someone else, he chimes in on that thread as well with whatever negative spin he can put on the same information.

I appreciate jfk's humor and wish he'd stick to his funny quips on various threads instead of his prediliction for bashing LV.

Ah, yes, perfect timing! Thank you!

As I was composing my post above about jfk searching the Internet for negative news about LV, he was busy doing exactly that! Instead of looking for a positive article about the opening of the Cosmopolitan, he finds and posts a link to one that questions its viability.

Now, does anyone still think that jfk is just trying to be informative?

It's a pretty well known fact JFK thinks Vegas' future is in its past. Just because he has a negative view and spin on things doesn't mean it's not a valid opinion. I don't see him bickering with people.

And few can offer the humor interlaced with his opinion like he can.

Plus, since his opinions are so uncompromising and expected, it's really easy to just ignore him. :-)

Thanks for watching my back, Spray (tried to rep you...but I must already have...and too recently). I actually DO LOVE Las Vegas...as a tourist only. There was a time when I considered residency...but didn't care for what I was seeing "behind the scenes." Looking back at that...it was indeed a smart decision...at least financially, that I did not go further. My brother, who bought a nice 3BR in Summerlin in 2000 is not currently underwater, but the value of his house has gone basically nowhere at this point. His saving grace is the equity that he has built up over 10 years.

I do love the LV forum...as it a spirited, close-knit group. I have met some personally...and would love to do so on future visits. Why some have a problem with my posts, and others don't?...I have no clue. I just try to be honest and be myself...and always look for the humorous angle.

True that! And other posters should also be aware that there is an ignore feature that one can set to ignore all posts...by poster name. It comes in handy sometimes...and I promise...I won't get upset if it gets used on me.

C'mon...you're giving me too much credit. I ran across that while looking in the business section of yahoo.

Without a doubt...the next time I'm in LV...I fully plan to visit both The Cosmopolitan AND City Center. And since I collect a fresh $1 chip from every casino I visit, I plan to play craps at both places. I thought neither place to be viable...but definitely fun to visit! Most likely, I'll be contributing to their bottom line.
