Great Thread Davie!
I first heard this song about 25 years ago...it was on an album (one of many) that my aunt and uncle gave me...a song changed into a tribute to Las Vegas.
It was recorded live from The Sands by a true class act, a gentleman...and he really did love Las Vegas a lot...my most favorite performer ever.
Anytime at all, whenever I hear any of his music I associate him with our city and I think of how Las Vegas used to be, this song speaks volumes of yesteryear...the video this person on youtube did is especially nice as well. Enjoy!

I was born in in 1989, MC Shy D's song came out in either 1986 or 1987, Im not 100% sure on that one
