My husband has a job offer at the Henderson water treatment plant. It says Pittmann on the map - I don't know if Pittmann is a city or neighborhood or what, but that's where he'd be working. We would want to live within a 15 minute drive of there, probably south/southeast Henderson. Can you recommend a good realtor who knows the area well? My husband would be commuting four days a week from Phoenix for a few months, so he could do some preliminary looking but I would be working with the realtor long distance. Thanks.

The water treatment plant in Henderson (in the Pittmann area, it's a part of Henderson) is near Sunset and Boulder Highway. You won't want to live in that area, it's not terrible, but it's definitely one of the most run down areas of Henderson.

I would recommend looking at the areas of 95 & Horizon, I-215 and Valle Verde, I-215 and Green Valley Parkway, Tuscany, and Calico Ranch. Those are all decent areas that are within a 15 minute drive of the water treatment plant. Luckily there isn't much traffic on that whole side of town very often, even during rush hour.

That facility is just south of the Las Vegas Wash...a little north of Lake Mead Drive at Boulder Highway.

The immediate area is generally heavy industrial - 89011 I think.

Easy commutes are go east to Lake Las Vegas or Tuscany. A number of nice places that have been whacked real hard in the burst. Neat places and some very good buys. Bad news is that it is somewhat isolated. Need to come back to main Henderson for shopping and such.

To the Southeast (89015)you can find some 1/2 acres and bigger as well as some nice tracts. Somewhat older neighborhoods.

You can head out 95 to 89002 for lower cost tract...nice new neighborhoods

To the SW you find 89012 which is the classical Green Valley Ranch. Mostly built in the 90s and well established neighborhood convenient to modern Henderson. One of the nicest neighborhoods in Henderson.

Pretty nice selection within 15 minutes.
