HD antennas are extremely picky about how they're aimed.

I got an oversize, powered (but directional) HD antenna I put up in my attic. I get a BUNCH of channels (Even one from somewhere in AZ), yet 8 (CBS) is/was very difficult for me to get. It took me a few hours (running up and down stairs) to get it in.

Most TVs have a built in signal meter to help you hone in on certain channels...but if you aren't getting close, it won't help you. Just trial and error is what is needed (I found no other good way). Lengthen, shorten the antennas, tilt it a different way...whatever you need to do. Use the link above to help you find the direction the antenna of NBC is, and use a compass to get your antenna close. Then work from there.

TV Fool

This one is better for helping to aim the antenna. Put in your address, and it will tell you the exact direction, and distance the antenna towers are in relation your house.

Because KSNV channel 3 operates at a very low VHF frequency. You need an antenna that receives VHF very well. It needs to have two long teloscopic rods in a wide V shape pattern to pick up channel 3. Channel 3 is the hardest channel to recieve with an indoor antenna in the valley.

telll tour hoa you will mount it from yuor balcony, or attach to your window sill, on a mast that will extend it 12 feet above the buildign roof, that might make them change thier minds.legally you can do that since window is yours and balcny/porch is your excluusive area .and fcc says you have right to go up to 12 feet above the building

I bought a small antenna and I can get exactly nothing. It was a waste. So I just do without.

Did you get the one where you plug it into a 110V outlet and it amplifies the TV signal?

I don't know what all the problems are. I have a small cheap circular disc antennae that sits by my TV and picks up everything with very little problems. Ironically though I'm thinking about ditching TV altogether.

So, if you only have an antenna then you just subscribe for internet? You all are lucky, I could never get my husband to give up cable. I would dump the whole b**b tube if it were up to me.
