Hello my husband and I are moving to the Knoxville area in about a month and my husband was wondering about good factory or landscaping jobs in the area. Thank you for any help :-)

Depends on what you call good. My husband and I moved here about 10 months ago,(it was a quick move and not as well researched as it should have been), we both work in factories. What we have found is that there are very few factories that pay well, most of the rest are around 8.00 to 8.50 an hour. Many of the factories here work 7 days a week as a matter of course, making turnover fairly high. It isn't difficult to get a factory job here, but it probably isn't going to pay very well. Definitely do your research, visit several times if possible and rent for the first year. For manufacturing, consider Indiana. The Ft. Wayne to Angola\Fremont area has good cost of living, good schools and decent paying factory jobs. We are returning there this summer for those as well as family reasons.

Thank you Your experience might be different here. So much depends on both your skill set and timing. If you have cnc training, for example, you will make better money. Not great, but better. This is a lovely area with very friendly people and mild winters and I hope it works out for you.
