dress professional 1 notch above the job you want. dont use sex to get job.
wear your most important asset your smile. be sure to ask for the job before you leave. they will often hire the person that wants the job over the superqualified who really doesn't. the garment they look at most in an interview is your attitude. need i say-- gang bang attire looks really sexy on the hood but an employer is not lookin to join up.
I am going on a boring secretarial (medical )job tomorrow......cannot seem to get an HR job..........wearing dress pants and a cashmere black sweater..and calvin klein dress shoes.....if they don't like it oh well !I know the pay is definitely way lower than what I want..(that will be a surprise when we talk money!)...............
I thnk wearing dress pants for a woman is ok...........with pantihose underneath or kneehighs...suits are great.
I went on an interview for an HR job in Nevada and it was 110! I wore the black suit and got the job though lol. The Hr director said they haven't seen too many people come for an interview dressed in a thin wool suit in the heat of the summer...Us East Coasters!
If you have a skill they need so bad, you can dress in a tee shirt and shorts and they will hire you. See, it's all about demand.
When they have folks to choose from, then they want someone to fit into their prissy corporate culture.
I think that is true years ago, but I agree, it is your skills...
