Below is a response to a thank you email I sent after a job interview. I think the interview went very well. I also think the response below is great.

It truly was a pleasure talking with you this morning. You are a very talented and knowledgeable individual with some valuable skill sets. Thank you again for taking the time out of your schedule and we will be talking to you within the next week.
Nope. Never know these days. I got great feedback in my response similar to yours and still didnt get the job. Not to put even more doubt into your head, but also dont look for any hints to make you feel better about getting it. Theyre pretty good about keeping the curtains closed.
I was told that I would receive employment if my background check passed, which it will. The woman who interviewed me gave me her card. Should I email her and say thank you even though she basically gave me the job already?
I know it's tempting to get excited. It's prudent however to NOT get excited. Don't set yourself up for a potential let down, pretend like you did not get the response.
