Response to my email thank you after interview (employment, job, background)

Below is a response to a thank you email I sent after a job interview. I think the interview went very well. I also think the response below is great.

What do you think? Is this a good sign?

Nope. Never know these days. I got great feedback in my response similar to yours and still didnt get the job. Not to put even more doubt into your head, but also dont look for any hints to make you feel better about getting it. Theyre pretty good about keeping the curtains closed.

I got a similar email and didn't get the job.

You are being friendly with sending it, the manager could be doing the same thing.

Trust me, it's neither good nor bad. They have canned responses for everything.

Probably the standard cut and paste form they reply to everyone.

I was told that I would receive employment if my background check passed, which it will. The woman who interviewed me gave me her card. Should I email her and say thank you even though she basically gave me the job already?

I know it's tempting to get excited. It's prudent however to NOT get excited. Don't set yourself up for a potential let down, pretend like you did not get the response.
