I had my final interview for a new position on Friday. They told me I would hear by the end of this week.
They were down to 2 candidates (myself, and surprisingly, a former co-worker of mine).
I think my interviews went very well, but I know you can never really be sure. During the last interview, they asked for a list of references and asked how soon I could start if offered the job.
I found out today that one of my references was called, but the other three haven't heard anything from my new potential employer. For those of you in HR, why would you only call one of four references?
What next? How do I keep myself from going crazy?!?!!
they just called. i got the job! they just have to wait for the final background checks!
