Here's what you do...(I know no one ever listens to me)...but hears what you do...
Walk in there with either flowers....or a box of Dunkin donuts and coffee...and thank them, the store and the manager, for interviewing you and considering you for the position...
That way you will stand out, and suddenly become a person to them...
Yes...you will be the person that is then escorted out of the building by security.
I interviewed at a sporting goods store on the 3rd. The interview didn't go so great...i didn't sleep the night before due to being anxious about the interview and answered 3 questions incorrectly(I knew the correct answers. total brain fart moments) Anyway, i loved the company & the relaxed atmosphere. The pay was great and so is the company discount(45%). Would it be bad to apply for the job again in the next few weeks/months? Or should i request a second chance interview?
Well second chance interviews don't exist, sorry. And reapplying won't work. They rejected you once, if you apply again, they'll reject you again. Sorry to put it so bluntly, but the good news is that lots of retail stores are pretty relaxed.
You should also remember that there are no right answers in interviews generally. You shouldn't need to study before an interview, except for knowing the company and it's products/general strategy quite well.
3 months later, this position opens up again. So much for that...
Maybe the position was never open
