im trying to find a place to train so I can get my C.N.A. certification/license so I can find a job to support myself while in school to be a pharmacist. Please help I browsed online for a while and I keep finding these places that are a week or 2, training no an actual 6 to 9 month course load. I would prefer to do the shorter training becuase i dont want to interfer with my current classes, but I'm not sure if that the smart way to go... I just thought of this today so its not completly thought through but its seemed smart so Please help especially if your already in the medical field your input is greatly appreciated

The absolute best place to get this kind of training is here:

River Garden — Excellence in Adult Care and Services (http://www.rivergarden.org/hebrewhome.html - broken link)

River Garden is the best SNF in JAX - perhaps the best in all of Florida. It trains its owns CNAs (at least it used to). It is the "Jewish" nursing home in Jacksonville - but a majority of the staff - and a substantial minority of the patients (maybe 1/3) aren't Jewish (can't discriminate when you accept Medicare/Medicaid). My late FIL - not Jewish - spent the last 3 years of his life here - and it was about the best place possible under the circumstances. Please feel free to email me at robyn47@bellsouth.net if you'd like to inquire about the program (I assume it's still the same as it was 5 years ago - but I could be wrong). River Garden has in an house pharmacy - and that might dovetail with your plans to become a pharmacist. Don't know. Robyn
