According to this link Anyone can bid on the Championship game, even places that don't even have a BCS bowl game. The Rotating six does not include the Big game by default. Techically only the the 2 semi final games will rotate between 6 locations. The Championship can be anywhere, including or outside of the semifinal six.

NCAAF Bidding for playoff sites to begin - ESPN

It will never be Jacksonville. That's for sure.

No money, no dome, poor/iffy weather in January, disastrous Super Bowl, no hotel rooms, no night life, and surrounded by far better options. (Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Miami)

Other than that, we're right in there.

I was reading some of the latest news links about this story. I see Dallas will be getting the first game. Jacksonville has a bid for the 2016 & 2017 games. Tampa Bay also has bids for both games. Minnesota, San Francisco & Phoenix are also bidding.

Yea but Orlando and Atlanta have not bid on either game. Tampa Bay and Miami have. Plus how can any even consider the Citrix Bowl over Everbank?

This is why Orlando has not bid yet, we will make a bid after the Citrus Bowl is renovated and completed in 2015.

Which is exactly what they should have done with the Gator Bowl/Alltel Stadium/Everbank Field
when they tore it down and remodeled it back in 94/95. They should have relocated it out to the
I-95 / I-295 intersection.

No, it will just be a tear down of the lower bowl and rebuild at the current location. I understand not the nicest part of town but they're are historical factors. The Citrus bowl has been there since 1936. I guess the same holds true for Everbank/Gator Bowl.
