My husband is hoping to start a business in that area...and from some of the post that I have read..I am not sure if we would want to LIVE in Jackson.

I am hearing alot about Ridgeland, Brandon, Madison, Flora, Clinton, Pearl

I see that there is a reservoir close by.. would love to live by there or anywhere with scenery but without the allegators.

Any suggestions?

Also, if you would know of any business would could help us to find a rental home.

Thanks!

Default Jackson's Reservoir

The Reservoir is nice and developing rapidly, but if you don't like gators you
might want to consider another area of Rankin or Madison County. I have heard from Game and Fish People that there are over 3000 gators along the reservoir. Having said that, there have been very few problems with them. They are organizing gator hunts to thin them out.

Wow. Are you sure you want to start a business in the Jackson area? My husband and I own a business here and we are looking to move the business out of the city limits due to the crime. During the summer we had two bullets come through our building and just the other night we had a "stoned" driver run over our fence. This is just to name three incidents. Our business is in a good location being on the Jackson-Ridgeland line. We are looking to move the business to Ridgeland, but the prices are astronomical. We looked at one building to lease - about 2500 square feet - and they wanted $8,000 per month. Another 3000 square foot building is listed for $555,000. The surrounding cities of Jackson are gouging business owners who want to get out of Jackson. Really do your research before you make the move. We are looking to get out of the entire area before it's too late. It's going to implode.
