I wouldn't worry too much about Mr Obama either. It won't be easy for him to keep raiding the corporate coffers once he loses his majority in November.
I guess your true colors show loud and clear. You are for Big Business, and damn the outcome, all for the corporate bottom line?.... Sorry to hear that always...everyone needs a little Socialism, its good for humility.

So your position is that BP's competitors will rally around BP to help them recover the money that they lost.

Can you just go back to the posts where you spit on everyone? At least those were good for diversion.

It's ironic to hear two people argue that there has been a difference between how the two political parties have treated the oil industry.

Other than some meaningless grandstanding over the years and a dog and pony show when gas hit $4.....both parties take huge contributions from BP. (Obama the #1 recipient).

So, I personally see no economic\financial impact on the oil industry no matter what happens in the November elections because all you will get are the same people with different letters at the end of their name.

This is Investing so if anyone wants to debate the investing impacts of political changes then step right up. Remember, action is what matters not rhetoric.

heres my spin on politics...... if you spend one hour a day with this crap thats 59 minutes wasted.

since 1973 every day i put my pants on and go to work.... i do the same thing each and every day..... nothing changes

no political party has ever been responsible for anything that effected any out come for me either financially or in my family life...

i made every thing happen good or bad, not political promises ,threats or positions......

if everyone took control of events in their lives and spent more time learning about how to improve their financial knowledge and lives instead of blaming a political party they would be far better off.

You take that amount of oil off the market for a couple months and see if you can fill your tank, that is if you fill your tank.

Obama is well on his way to skimming every bit of profit off of the Oil co.'s and plowing them into other ways of moving around, and creating power.
Can you really not see that Obama is on his way to being a lame-duck, 1-termer?

Your life may go on the same but the country and world sure as hell does not. Sounds like you are recommending everyone to not give a sh#t about anything but themselves. How nobel... such a childlike mentality, older people used to have wisdom.

not quite....what im saying is that as events unfold our leaders react in real time to them based on the event not political stances...

for folks to waste so much time arguing political stances ,promises and threats is a waste of time....politicians still have to do what the masses want or they are out no matter what.....

on the other hand folks wait for these political promises and stances to change their lives and im telling you it aint happening......

these same folks seem to know more about their cars or refrigerators then they do about conducting their own financial lives...

then they blame politics and partys for their financial suicide

Please people, this is FINANCE AND INVESTING....I avoid the stupidity of the political forum intentionally so go over there and post your garbage.

So many posts to this thread with no thought, completely unrelated to topic etc.

Go away.

Back to topic.....the cut and cap method will resolve itself over the weekend so I suspect some strong action on Monday based upon the outcome of that effort.
