Back in the early 2000s, I envied markets that had Time Warner Cable's Roadrunner service. When Cox and Comcast were offering 3mbps, TWC offered 6mbps at the same cost in their standard package. Today, Comcast is offering 16mbps down/2mbps up in its STANDARD package, while Cox is offering 12/1, but Time Warner Cable is still offering only 6mbps down and 384 kbps up in its standard package. Even the most expensive package through Time Warner is still only 10mbps down and 512kbps up. Cox's most expensive package is now 25mbps down and 2mbps up. Why does it seem like TWC is stuck in 2003? Are they ever going to get with the times? These speeds are embarrassing for the year 2009, and in many of the nation's largest cities, they are the only option unless you are lucky enough to get FTTP service through a provider like Verizon.
They do seem a bit behind the times, have you talked to anyone there about any planned improvements? I can't speak about time-warner, but my standard comcast package is 30 down, 10 up

I usually only get 8 or 9 up though
I envy you. My package through Time Warner is 10/512 but at peak hours I usually get less than 1mbps down and 200 kbps up. Somebody needs to sue them.
